THE ICAN NOTICE TO HHS REGARDING THEIR FAILURE TO DEMONSTRATE VACCINE SAFETY.

This notice sent to HHS (Health and Human Services) articulates the complete failure of HHS to conduct the proper science required to demonstrate vaccine safety. Additionally, ICAN lays out the provisions of the (1986 Act) that legally require HHS to conduct science that reduces the risk of all vaccine injury. Failure to do so could result in legal action against HHS.

HHS’S RESPONSE TO OUR NOTICE DATED OCTOBER 27, 2017.

On January 18 2018, ICAN received a response from HHS in response to the notice sent in October 2017. The letter was written on behalf of Acting Secretary Hargan and aimed to address all the questions put forward in the notice originally sent.

Given the gravity of HHS’s responsibility, it is deeply troubling that the majority of HHS’s letter contains little more than broad unsupported conclusory assertions. Most of these conclusory assertions do not withstand basic scrutiny. HHS’s responses even often contradict its own source materials.

THE ICAN REPLY TO HHS RESPONSE.

This response sent to HHS again articulates the complete failure of HHS to conduct the proper science required to demonstrate vaccine safety.

After careful review, the substance of HHS’s responses heightens the serious concerns we previously raised regarding the safety of HHS’s childhood vaccine schedule.

It is our hope that HHS will rise above its internal gridlock and inherent conflicts of interest, and take this opportunity to seriously consider the safety of pediatric vaccines and its childhood vaccine schedule.

STIPULATED ORDER CONFIRMING NON-COMPLIANCE WITH 42 USC 300AA-27C.

In 1986, Congress charged Health and Human Services (HHS) with the primary responsibility of ensuring vaccine safety after removing product liability from vaccine manufacturers as part of the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Compensation Act. As part of the 1986 Act, HHS is required to create a task force and submit bi-annual reports to Congress detailing actions taken to ensure vaccine safety. This stipulated order shows that HHS has not acted in its duties regarding vaccine safety, forcing 78 million American children into a vaccine program with no safety provisions.
